I am a nationally certified massage therapist practicing in Arlington, Virginia. My professional experience includes Sport and Health Clubs in the Northern Virginia and Washington DC area, as well as numerous private clients. In addition, I have experience working with chiropractors, adventure companies and salons/spas. I am licensed to practice massage in Arlington and I am a member of and insured by the American Massage Therapy Association. I am also a Certified Quantum Touch Practitioner and am delighted to offer this innovative therapy to my clients. I also study and practice Qigong and incorporate many of its principles into my approach to massage therapy. To better serve my clients, I currently am in training under the tutelage of Jim Hughes, former instructor at the National Massage Therapy Institute and Heritage Institute, to learn cranial sacral modalities as practiced by Michael Shea, I have also recently studied under Michael Shea himself. I was born in Sala, Sweden, and have over 10 years' experience working in the mental health field in Stockholm, including certification as a case manager. After moving to the U.S. in 2000, I decided to enhance my previously-acquired skills by studying psychology and massage therapy. I am currently taking courses in different modalities and specialties related to massage therapy so I can better assist my clients. Currently I am the massage therapist at Beauty Encounters in Crystal City, where I am avaliable by appointment. I am available for appointments at my studio in my home as well as outcalls (limited area, Virginia only) are also available. I accept walk-in appointments at Beauty Encounters.
